Above is a piece of broken glass, this little piece of glass can cause a lot of damage it can cause an irregular slash that puncture the skin especially when produced on impact. The most common reason and place glass injuries occur are at home for example someone might have fallen against a glass door panel or window. A Glass shard can bear a strong resemblance to knives and cause the same damage as them too.

A laceration is a wound that occurs when skin, tissue, and/or muscle is torn or cut open. Lacerations may be deep or shallow, long or short, and wide or narrow. Most lacerations are the result of the skin hitting an object, or an object hitting the skin with force. Laceration repair is the act of cleaning, preparing, and closing the wound.

I came across this image on Google when I typed in Broken Glass wounds and this picture came up of a young girl with a large open slash on her right arm. Her name is Chloe Knapton and she was attacked with a broken glass bottle. As you can see from the slash it looks pretty deep, Glass injuries can severely damage the skin and underlying nerves and vessels as well as tendons.
.
What I need to think about:
- Where I want my Glass Shard wound ?
- How deep ?
- What is the Cause ?
- How old is it ?
- What size I want it ?
